Junior Product Owner (f/m/d)
Your mission
As our Junior Product Owner, you will play a key role in collaborating with experienced Product Owners to structure complex requirements, translate them into actionable user stories, and provide operational support throughout the development process. Your main responsibility is to act as the bridge between stakeholders and the software development teams.

What you will do
- Refining the Product Vision: You ensure that the product vision is effectively implemented by the development teams and that it aligns with the company strategy and customer needs. You gather requirements and are able to translate them into concrete epics and user stories, which you then hand over to the development teams.
- Managing the Product Backlog: You create and maintain the product backlog, which contains a prioritized list of features, improvements, and other tasks necessary for product development.
- Prioritizing Requirements: You define the order in which backlog items are processed, balancing stakeholder needs with the development team’s capacity. You prioritize features that deliver the highest value to customers and the company.
- Close Collaboration with Development Teams: You ensure that developers fully understand the backlog items, including acceptance criteria and business value.
- Stakeholder Management: You interact with stakeholders to gather requirements, understand their needs, and keep them informed about progress. You also manage expectations and balance technical feasibility with business requirements.
Your profile
- Education: Completed degree in Business Informatics, Industrial Engineering, or a comparable field. Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO)) and experience with agile development methods are a plus.
- Professional Experience: Initial experience as a Product Owner or in a comparable role, such as Business Analyst, Project Manager, or Technical Consultant.
- Technical Understanding: Solid knowledge of technology stacks and software development processes to effectively communicate with the team and make informed decisions.
- Communication Skills: Confident in working with software developers and external partners to clearly convey and implement requirements.
- Structured Approach: Ability to maintain a high-level perspective without losing sight of important details – especially when creating user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Personal Traits: High self-motivation, assertiveness, and a solution-oriented mindset.
- Prioritization Skills: Capable of prioritizing tasks based on business value, customer needs, and team capacity.
- Language Skills: Fluent in German and English.

- Competitive Compensation: Of course, you will receive a competitive compensation package, which we would be happy to discuss with you personally. For legal reasons, we must provide the gross annual salary, which is based on the collective agreement and is approximately EUR 43.000, - (based on full-time 38.5 hours per week). We are willing to offer more than this starting salary, depending on your experience and qualifications.
